My Work at READ Ottawa

My role started out as primarily managing Facebook and Instagram for READ and eventually moved into website landing page refreshes and design work for them as well. I also helped to establish their LinkedIn company page, and would meet occasionally with the Executive Director to consult on overall marketing strategy.

Organic Social Media Management

2025 Facebook: Content drove 54,000 views and a 16.7% increase in page followers.

2025 Instagram: Content produced a 40% increase in reach and a 23.6% increase in followers.

2025 LinkedIn: Content drove 6200+ impressions and 216% increase in company page followers.

Website Updates

While the Wix theme and builder presented some website limitations, I was still able to make overall site improvements and new landing pages for donation initiatives. To start, I updated the top navigation icons and buttons for an updated site look and re-ordered the main navigation for an improved user experience. I then reset the site theme to be in alignment with READ’s current brand fonts and colors so that their brand presents consistently from digital to print.

This year, I also created a Sponsorship landing page based on new levels in the Sponsor packet, a landing page for Giving Tuesday, and made significant updates to both the Newsletters and Jobs pages.
